Ice Skating

The best places to try this tradition include Eye Skate beside the London Eye, Hampton Court Palace, Natural History Museum, Somerset House and the Tower of London.

Winter Wonderland

Located in Hyde Park, this Christmas attraction is part amusement park, part food festival and part German market. There are markets, rides, bars, a skating rink, Santa’s grotto and even circus shows to keep you entertained.

The Nutcracker

Set in a frost-covered Edwardian London, the Nutcracker is a classic and a must for the Christmas season in London. Featuring the Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy and the Waltz of the Flowers this is the perfect festive ballet for all the family. Book quickly as shows often sell out.

Southbank Christmas Market

Shop for Christmas gifts and quirky crafts at the twinkling wooden cabins of the Wintertime Market, which line the south bank of the Thames. Stock up on festive food, unique gifts, stocking fillers and treats. And keep the younger ones entertained with the family-friendly activities.

Kew Gardens

Famous for being the world’s largest collection of living plants, Kew Gardens is also home to an incredible display of Christmas lights. With twinkling lights, fairground rides and food and drink to enjoy along the trail. See the Gardens light up for an unforgettable after-dark festive trail of lights.

Entry:   Christmas at Kew is open 5–10pm and you choose a time slot for entry (last entry 7.40pm).

Carol Singing

The Royal Albert Hall presents a series of special carol concerts to celebrate Christmas, you can enjoy your favourite carols at one of the world’s most iconic venues.  The perfect opportunity to celebrate in suitable style, and join with the festive fun, even if you don’t like carols we recommend a trip just to see the stunning venue.
